Major C.A. Vanderzee, late of the Manchester Regiment (retired), has been gazetted Major in the 7th Lancashire Fusiliers. He is a son of the late Major-General Vanderzee, of Woodbury Park, Tunbridge Wells, and a brother-in-law of Mr R V Gower.

Capt C A Vanderzee sailed from Liverpool 29 May 1915 on the Haversville for Douala Cameroon.

A, G A Vanderzee served in WWI, first in 1915 on the Star Roll, as a Captain, then on the R&F Roll as a Major. His record card (on Ancestry) shows he served in the Lancashire Fusiliers, and the 41st Nigerian Reg. Coupled with the sailing details this person is assumed to be Cecil.

Capt C A Vanderzee sailed from Liverpool 1 Nov 1916 on the Abinsi for Lagos Nigeria.

Vanderzee - On Friday Oct 29th 1948, at 34 Hatherley Grove, W.2. Major Cecil Arthur Vanderzee, late Lancashire Fusiliers, youngest son of the late Maj. Gen. F H Vanderzee Madras Staff Corps. aged 75.
