L'Estrange died a batchelor in Rotterdam Holland, his Will mentions he would possess Manor of Kentish upon the death of his Aunt Anne, and his kinsman Samual Alston of Stisted.

Dated 22nd April 1689
The will of Lestrange Alston of Stysted Essex Gent.
I give to my sister Elizabeth Alston and her heirs after the death of my Aunt Anne Alston and subject to certain payments the manor house or messuage called Kentish with the Lands woods Rights profits &c thereto belonging, situate in Stysted and Bockin, co. Essex
Also to my said sister and her heirs, subject to certain payments, my messuage with the lands and appurtenances in Wetherfield co. Essex, also (subject to the same conditions) my messuage with lands and
appurtenances in Toppsfield, Essex
My sister Elizabeth to pay to my kinsman Mr. Samuel Alston of Stysted within one month of my decease L20, also an annuity of L20
Also to my sister Anne Alston, L100 within a year of my death, to my friend Mary Youngs, L50 within 3 months of my death also an annuity of L16
I give to my friend Mr. Thomas Wilson of Stisted 30 guineas in gold
To my friend John Morley of Little Mapplestead five guineas
To my man Joseph Jon 2 guineas
The residue of my estate I give to my said sister Elizabeth Alston whom I appoint sole executrix, Thomas Willson to be supervisor of this my will
