Details of Francis are sourced from Giles family records, however the Rev Colin Alsbury vicar of Frome in 2023 advises that he can find no record of Francis in the Frome registers as:
"You include a Francis Giles [9422] Born: 26 Jul 1817, Died: 6 Feb 1819 aged 1, and I can find no record of this person ever existing. The date of birth is also incompatible with being a sibling of Harriet who was born on 19 Feb 1817 and baptised on 17 October 1817 at Frome St John the Baptist [not Frome Holy Trinity as you indicate - Holy Trinity did not exist in 1817] - I would be interested to know what led you to believe that this Francis Giles existed"
