Brian married Kalm, a fascinating name. They lived near the grandparents so I did see something of their two daughters, Gladys and Peggy. We didn't seem to have much in common. I was astounded when Peggy tapdanced in the early 2YA children's radio programme with Aunt Molly. Yes, tapdanced on radio! What talent, I thought. She was to marry and disappear to the United States, but I have rarely seen or heard of Gladys, either.

This is the Last Will and Testament of me, BRIAN ARTHUR HEREWARD BARKER of Wellington in the Dominion of New Zealand, Clerk.
1. I REVOKE all former WILLS, AND I APPOINT THE PUBLIC TRUSTEE of the said Dominion to be my Executor and Trustee.
2. I DIRECT that my remains shall be cremated.
3. I GIVE DEVISE AND BEQUEATH the whole of my estate both real and personal of whatsoever nature or kind and wheresoever situate unto my trustee UPON TRUST to pay thereout my just debts funeral and testamentary expenses and all estate and succession duty payable in respect of my estate and to stand possessed of the residue for my wife CHRISTINA HELEN BARKER but should she predecease me then to divide the residue into four (4) equal parts UPON TRUST as follows:-
(a) As to one (1) of such parts for my daughter GLADYS EILEEN WILLIAMS should she survive me but should she predecease me then for such of her children as survive me and if more than one in equal shares. (b) As to one (1) of such parts for my daughter PEGGY CELIA YATES should she survive me but should she predecease me then for such of her children as survive me and if more than one in equal shares
(c) As to one (1) of such parts for my brother-inlaw. GEORGE FINDLAY but should he predecease me then for his son JOHN FINDLAY.
(d) As to the remaining one (1) of such parts for my sisters in-law KATHERINE CARTER but should she predecease me then for my said brother-in-law George Findlay.
(e) I DIRECT that in the event of the failure of the trusts in respect of any one or more of the aforesaid parts the part or parts the trusts whereof shall so fail both original as well as accruing shall be added to the other or others of the said parts the trusts whereof do not fail in equal shares and shall be subject in all respects to the same trusts and provisions as herein appear concerning the part or parts to which the same shall attach. As Witness my hand this 24th day of Feburary 1949

Brian next married Kahn Elizabeth Ellen PECK [675] [MRIN: 208], daughter of Richard PECK [28550] and Sarah Elenor BROWN [28551], on 16 Oct 1918 in New Zealand. The marriage ended in divorce. (Kahn Elizabeth Ellen PECK [675] was born on 4 Feb 1897 in Naenae Wellington NZ, died on 25 Jun 1985 and was cremated on 28 Jun 1985 in Karori Cemetery Wellington.)
