That your Memorialist arrived in the Colony of New Zealand in or about the month of December 1865 and has continued to reside therein since that time.
That your Memorialist is desirous of settling this colony of New Zealand.
Wherefore your Memorialist humbly prays that your Excellency will be pleased to grant to him such Letters of Naturalisation as are provided by the Aliens Act 1866.

3. Peter Johnson: Will, 25 Oct 1910. This is the last Will and Testament of me Peter Johnson of Garret Street, Wellington, New Zealand, in the Dominion of New Zealand.
I hear by revoke all Wills and Testamentary instrument's heretofore made by me. I appoint my son Arthur Johnson, accountant, of Wellington, New Zealand, and my daughter, Elizabeth Jane Munro, of Palmerston North, New Zealand to be the executors of this my Will. I direct my executors to pay my just debts and funeral and testamentary expenses.
I give and bequeath that section of land fronting on Garret Street, and measuring seventy eight feet by a width of thirty feet, being part of town Acre150 and bearing No 9185 in the Deed's Registry Office, Wellington. Also the buildings erected thereon, to the whole of my family, the same to be sold and the proceeds to be divided equally between my daughters, Alice, Emma, Elizabeth, Edith and Mabelle, and my sons William, Charles and Arthur.
I direct also
that the whole of the furniture contained in the said house shall become the property of my daughter Mabelle.
Witness my hand this twenty fifth day of October 1910.

Peter married Alice BRITTON [637] [MRIN: 191], daughter of James BRITTON [645] and Ann TERRINGTON [646], on 15 Sep 1861 in St George In The East, London. (Alice BRITTON [637] was born about Jun 1839 in Gt Bircham NFK, baptised on 26 Jul 1839 in Gt Bircham NFK, died on 29 Oct 1910 in Wellington NZ and was buried on 1 Nov 1910 in Karori Cemetery Wellington.). The cause of her death was cancer of the stomach.
