Mary GRAHAM [4852]

  General Notes:

Daughter of Colonel Graham, of St. Lawrence House, near Canterbury, sometime Governor of Georgia. Mary was one of nine children.
A wall plaque in St. Mary the Virgin Church at Wingham says - In the vault beneath this chancel are deposited the remains of Dame Mary, the wife of Sir Henry Oxenden, Baronet, of Brooke in the Parish of Barham, Dean of this Parish. She was the fifth daughter of John Graham, Esq. of St. Lawrence House near Canterbury. Lt.Col in his majesty's forces and Lt. Gov of the province of Georgia in Nth America. She died 19th December 1814 aged 42 years.

Mary married Sir Henry OXENDEN OF BROOME PARK 7th Bart [1516] [MRIN: 97], son of Sir Henry OXENDEN 6th Bart [7614] and Margaret CHUDLEIGH [7615], on 20 Jun 1793. (Sir Henry OXENDEN OF BROOME PARK 7th Bart [1516] was born on 14 May 1756 in Albemarle St, London and died on 22 Sep 1838 in Broome, Barham, Kent. UK.)
