Will of Heriot CROOKE
Will dated 12 Oct 1774, Heriot Crooke, "widow of Clement Crooke, late of the island of St. Christopher, Esq., at present residing in Savannah."
Exors. to sell all household goods except the sheeting and two feather beds. One feather bed to Ann Scales of Savannah, spinster. The other feather bed to my two granddaus: Elizabeth Crooke Tannatt and Heriot Cunningham Tannatt.
Sheeting, linen to be divided equally among the three of them (In the following bequests, all money in pounds Sterling is the result of a bequest of 2000 pounds Sterling to me from my father, Robert Cunningham, Esq., deceased.)
Thomas Boyd Mackinen (son of Charles William Mackinen, Esq.), Negro wench to be chosen for him by his father.
Sons: Robert Charles Crooke, 500 pounds Sterling, Negro woman named Chloe and her son Joe.
Charles Cunningham Crooke, 700 pounds Sterling.
Richard Cunningham Crooke, 300 pounds Sterling; tract of land, containing 500 acres, on island named Burbuda or, Colonel Heru's Island.
Daus: Judith Caines, wife of Charles Caines, 300 pounds Sterling.
Frances Graham, wife of the Honorable John Graham, Esq., 130 pounds Sterling.
Susannah Wylly, wife of Alexander Wylly of Savannah, Esq., 10 pounds Sterling.
Jourdina Cunningham Baillie, wife of George Baillie, Esq., 10 pounds Sterling.
Elizabeth Mossman, wife of James Mossman, Esq., 50 pounds Sterling, the use of wench Bauby during her lifetime and said wench then to go to my granddau, Elizabeth Crooke Tannatt.
Granddau: Mary Hume, wife of James Hume, Esq., all the monies and legacies whatsoever left me by my son, Clement Crooke, Esq., who died in the East Indies; any Negro of her choice from those I expect from the West Indies upon the sale of my Dower Lands.
To Ann Scales, a new Negro of her choice.
Granddaus: Elizabeth Crooke Tannatt and Heriot Cunningham Tannatt, lot of land in town of Brunswick; Negro woman named Sophey; remainder of estate, real and personal.
Exors: son, Robert Charles Crooke; nephew, Charles William Mackinen; The Honorable John Graham and James Hume, Esqs. Exors to be guardians of the granddaus until they come of age.
Wit: James Robertson; John Wood;

Codicil to the above will:
Son, Richard Cunningham Crooke has died since the date of the above will. The 500-acre tract of land has already been given him and thus now belongs to his heirs. The bequeath of 300 pounds Sterling granted him in the above will to go to my son, Charles Cunningham Crooke.
Further to Mrs. Mary Hume, Mrs. Elizabeth Crooike Houstoun, Miss Heriot Cunningham Tannatt, and their heirs, my pew in the parish church of Christ Church.
Wit: Isabella Mossman, Anne Graham, James Robertson. Dated 22 Aug. 1775.'
