Walter (called Watt, Watty)
Born sometime after 1692, between Robert II and Letitia II60. Coote's Pedigree states he:
"was also a Captain of Foot in Spain; and afterwards, a Captain of Dragoons in Gen.' Churchill's Regiment, raised on account of the Rebellion in 1715 and broken about two years afterwards. He married (first) a Daughter of James Wellwood, an Eminent Physician: a young Lady of uncommon Parts and accomplishments61; by whom he had a Son, named James62, at this time (1765) Collonel [paper torn], Lieutenant Co/lone! of a Regiment of Foot in Ireland, and Lieut. Governor of Corke63.
He married, his Second Wife, a young Widow, Mrs Bredon, with a very large Fortune; by whom he had several Children. Robert his Eldest Son, was killed an Ensign, at the Battle of Fontenoy. His now only Surviving Son, named St George, was originally bred to the Sea, which he quitted on Account of a bad State of Health; He then studied the Law64; but, disliking it, entered at Oxford; went thro' his Degrees, took Orders, and has now the Living of North Fleet, in Kent. Mary, his Eldest daughter, is unmarried65: Jenny, his second, married Mr Bearcroft a Barrister; brought him a Son, now alive, and died in Child bed. Elizabeth, youngest daughter; is not married66.
Lieut Coli. James married a Daughter of Richard L.d Molesworth 67, 1w his first Wife, Sister to Lady BeIvedere; by whom he has no Children." Foster's states he died in 1773.

Memm.
That the Hon Walter Molesworth of St James Westminster died possessed of L4500 consolidated 2% annuities and by his last Will and Testament dated 29 December 1772 having constituted and appointed his son the Rev St George Molesworth, Arthur Molesworth and Archibald Grant Esq executors and in which are the following words.
Viz. I now proceed to a distribution of my unsubjected estate and do hereby bequeath the whole of it to Arthur Molesworth Esq my nephew, Archibald Grant Esq married to my niece and to the survivors or survivor of them the executors administrators and assigns of such survivor In Trust that they shall distribute or reserve the several parts of it conformably to my subsequent directions and my Will herein is that all the several stocks entered in my own name in the books at the Bank of England shall be transferred into the last mentioned names to be by them either reserved or disposed in my respective legacies as follows, to the children of my nephew Robert for of my late brother William (exclusive of his daughter whom my brother Cooke? has taken charge of) L4000 consolidated 4% annuities, of which one half of the dividend shall be regularly paid to the order of the said Robert or should he happen to die before his present wife 60% per annum to the order of such widow (continuing single) during her life and for the better maintenance and education of his said children and should a sum of money be required to advance any of them in the world when at a proper age my trustees are hereby empowered and entreated to use their discretion in making the necessary empowerment? and applying such part of the principal stock as shall not exceed the equal portion to each child then living, but this legacy to the said Robert his wife and children issues this special proviso that should he happen to succeed to the family title and estate the same except that may have been advanced of the principal as above shall then be to my son St George's children if he leaves any, otherwise to the still younger children of my said nephew Robert.

Monumental Inscriptions of St Botolph's Church, Northfleet Kent
17. [XVII]. Plain white marble tablet: Here Lyes Walter (Son of Robert, Lord Viscount MOLESWORTH) who Dyed on the 27th day of February 1773. Aged 79 years and directed his Corpse to be laid in the adjacent vault in which are deposited those of his late dear Wife deceas'd 28 May 1763 and also that of his much loved Daughter Elizabeth who expired on the 17th of August 1776. Also of his dear Daughter Mary who died the last of July 1772. Never fond of Monumental Compliments he forbad any use of them in regard to the Carcases below renouncing for himself all kind of Men't here and trusting wholly for Pardon and Acceptance in the boundless Mercies of God through the prevailing Merits of our Lord Jesus Christ. The Revd Saint George Molesworth only son of the above Walter and 34 years Vicar of this Parish died at Hamburgh The 13th Day of April 1796 and was buried in the Church of Saint Nicholas there. Here also is interred the Body of Lydia Henrietta, Relict of the Revd St. George MOLESWORTH who died 20 Decr 1813 Aged 78 years.
