In her very long Will proved 13 April 1779 she left all the lands, tenements etc which she held by lease of the College of Eton at a place called Rudsworth, parish of Stanwell, Middlesex and all her estate, right and interest therein to her son Richard. Her freehold messuage and farm and all freehold and copyhold lands tenements and appurtenances in the parish of Clewer in the county of Bucks now in the occupation of Henry Hopkins, unto her son in law Rev. John Hand and her daughter Elizabeth Hand, his wife. She gave all her freehold lands, tenements etc in the parish of Clewer and in the occupation of Joseph Trapp also her lands tenements etc in Maidenhead which she helld by lease of the College of Windsor and all her estate right tithes and interest etc to her son in law Dr John Barles Lucas and her daughter Sarah, his wife. Her moiety of freehold estate in the hamlet of Tedworth late Richard Winch's to her granddaughter Susanna Staples, also one half or moiety of my freehold messuage tenements etc occupied by John Benwell, Mrs Moore, Mrs Potenfer and Mrs Coster to Rev John Hand and Elizabeth and to apply the profits to the education and maintenance of her grandson Thomas Hand and after their decease said moiety to Thomas. She left several bequests including to her daughter Sarah her silver salver and her diamond loop ring. To John Hand and Elizabeth she left her household goods and furniture, her gold watch and half her wearing apparel. To Susanna she left the other half of her clothes and half each to Elizabeth and Susanna her linen, china, plate etc.
The executors were John and Elizabeth Hand

Sarah married Alexander STAPLES [23818] [MRIN: 8549], son of Thomas STAPLES [23825] and Elizabeth WHITFIELD [23826], about 1711. (Alexander STAPLES [23818] was born in 1678 in Maidenhead BKS and died in Feb 1755 in New Windsor Berkshire.)
