An altar tomb in Edwardstone Churchyard reads "here lieth the body of Sarah wife of Saml Alston of this Parish Maltster who departed this life the 25th day of May 1732 aged 40 years" Inscription checked in 2002.

Smith Family Tree Ancestry - 2021 put a Sarah Beare born Edwardstone c1692 died 20 May 1732 with no evidence, as the wife of Samuel.

Sarah married Samuel ALSTON [640] [MRIN: 193], son of John ALSTON Jnr [4025] and Martha CRABB of Wethersfield ESS [5349]. (Samuel ALSTON [640] was born about 1690, died on 20 Feb 1754 and was buried on 1 Mar 1754 in Edwardstone SFK.)
