The 1860's Log Books of the Nayland School show Lucy as a visitor, listening to the children recite, or helping with needlework etc.

(Surgeon Major Nathaniel HOPKINS [13] was born on 26 Nov 1833 in Langadock Carmarthenshire Wales, baptised on 17 Dec 1833 in Llangadock CMN WLS, died on 24 Jan 1894 and was buried on 27 Jan 1894 in Wimbledon Cemetery London.)
