 General Notes:
George was the eldest son of Sir Harbottle Grimston 2nd Bart. He was admitted to Brasenose College Oxford on the 1st May 1649 aged 18yrs. His marriage to Sarah was arranged by tripartite Indenture made on the 1st Nov 1652. Sarahs father contributed six thousand pounds of lawful English money for their "joynture". During their short married life two sons were born but both died in infancy, Sarah was left a childless widow aged 24 when George died in 1655.
George married Sarah ALSTON Duchess of Somerset [3210] [MRIN: 1084], daughter of Sir Edward ALSTON Kt M.D. [2674] and Susanna HUDSON [3203], on 9 Dec 1652 in All Hallows London Wall, LND. (Sarah ALSTON Duchess of Somerset [3210] was born in 1631, baptised on 6 Mar 1630/31 in St Martin Orgar LND, died on 25 Oct 1692 and was buried on 2 Nov 1692 in Westminster Abbey London.)
