ALSTON, SIR EDWARD, Knight, of Strixton, Northants, widower, and Anne Stratton, of St. Clement's Danes, Middlesex, widow, at St. Mary's, Savoy, or St. Paul's, Covent Garden, or Bridewell Chapel, 24 Nov., 1670.
Cresswell was uncertain about Ann Stratton. It now appears proven that an Ann Stratton, widow of Edward Stratton married Sir Joseph Alston of Chelsea on the 5 Dec 1671 at the Temple Church London.
By coincidence there may have been two Anne Stratton's, or one, who changed her mind?

Anne married Sir Edward ALSTON Knt of Strixton [3074] [MRIN: 1041], son of Thomas ALSTON of Gedding Hall Polsted [3017] and Frances BLOMFIELD (BLOMEVIL) [3018], on 24 Nov 1670 at St. Mary's, Savoy, or St. Paul's, Covent Garden, or Bridewell Chapel. (Sir Edward ALSTON Knt of Strixton [3074] was baptised on 22 May 1611 in Newton Nr Sudbury SFK, died in Jan 1681/82 and was buried in Jan 1681/82 in Strixton NTH.)
