John was of Wethersfield and was acting as an attorney for John Broxheed to deliver a seisin[1] to John Walworth and others for a property called Lesephyghtel in Wethersfield on 22 Feb 1425/26.[2] John was a witness of the sale of a cottage in Wethersfield from Thomas Smith to John Aleyn and wife Katherine on 8 Nov 1428.[3] John was a bailiff at that time. He was a witness from a grant of a messuage and garden from Roger Rolf to Thomas Smyth and John Northey on 4 May 1433.[4] John was a tenant-at-will with an annual rent of 3 shillings to the manor of Wethersfield for a field called Manfeld and a pasture called Motennesmede on 19 May 1439.[5]
