Victor was a Stock & Station Agent at the time of his marriage, in 1937 he was postmaster at Bonshaw centre, about 50 miles from Yetman. The family moved to Buderim Queensland on his retirement.

Victor married Decima Flo SKINNER [13396] [MRIN: 6879], daughter of Alfred SKINNER [13365] and Alice Agnes ALLISON [13366], on 30 Sep 1918 in Boomi NSW. (Decima Flo SKINNER [13396] was born on 8 Oct 1895 in Kunopia NSW, died on 27 Jul 1964 in Nambour Hospital Queensland and was buried in Buderim Queensland.)
