Which day appeared personally James Vanderzee of Lambeth aged twenty one years and upwards and a Batcr and alleged that he intendeth to marry with Hester Fidgett of the same parish aged twenty one years and a Spinster.
Not knowing or believing any impediment by way of any precontract consanguinity affinity or any lawfull means to hinder the said intended marr(iage) of the truth of the premisses he made oath and prayed Lycence for them to be married in the parish Church of Lambeth or [none other named]

The parish of Lambeth here makes a link with Cornelius the pot maker in Lambeth in 1716. However, this James/Jacobus cannot be the son of Cornelius and Cornelia since our Jacobus swore he was single in 1733! I'm keen to look at the Lambeth register, if it's legible.

A Jam Vanderzee was a witness to a Bond signed 24 Aug 1728 at Nayland SFK? by John Alston snr of Edwardstone SFK - was he working with his brother? Jacobus who started practice at Nayland about this time?
