WEDDINGS. JULIUS-STEWART. A wedding of interest to a large circle of friends was celebrated on Wednesday, 7th August, at St. Paul's Presbyterian Church, when Miss Belle Stewart, younger daughter married to Lieutenant John Julius, of Dovedale station (late of the A.I.F.), son of Mrs. Julius, of Paddington Heights. The Rev. W. C. Radcliffe officiated. The bride entered the church with Mr. David Cramond (Toowoomba), an old friend of the family. She wore a charming bridal frock of ivory crepe de chine and georgette, daintily hand- worked in pale blue and pink crystal beads; her smart hat of ivory tulle and gold lace snowdrops, veiled in pale pink tulle, which with her diamond brooch were gifts from the bridegroom. Her sister, Miss E. Stewart, attended as bridesmaid, and was gowned in a dainty French frock of champagne net, made with full panel skirt, and fichu effect, finished with pale pink crepe de chine belt. Her black hat of the new basket straw was smartly swathed in champagne faille ribbon. She carried a posy of pink sweet- peas, and wore a gold bangle, the gifts of the bridegroom. Mrs. Stewart wore a becoming black costume of crepe de chine, soft trout of filet and gold lace; toque to harmonise, carrying a bouquet of mauve sweet peas. Mrs. Julius was gowned in black pailette, with black and white toque, and carried a posy of violets. Lieutenant Hardaker was best man. The church was beautifully decorated by girl friends of the bride, the colour scheme being red and blue, a compliment to the bridegroom. St. Paul's choir sang "The Voice That Breathed O'er Eden," as the bride entered the church. Mrs. Rankin sang "A Song of Thanksgiving," and Mr. Newman presided at the organ. Only relatives were present at the subsequent reception, held by Mrs. Stewart, at her residence at New Farm. The bridal table was ornamented with pink stocks and a handsome wedding cake. The presents were numerous and useful, including a silver tea service and salver from the staff of Macdonald, Hamilton, and Co. Many cheques were also received. The bride and bridegroom left later for the wedding tour, the bride travelling in a smart tailor-made coat and skirt of navy, with hat to match.
