Cecil went to Charter House School in 1934 then B.A. Oxon. He served with the Royal Armoured Corps. No. 237969. 107th. 5th Bn. The Kings Own Royal (Lancaster) Regt. He died aged 27 in the liberation of the Netherlands, in a Tank accident.

Old Carthusians WWII Memorial records Arthur:
Captain RAC. Born 9.7.1917, only son of Arthur Dudley Julius (OC) and Marie Louise Julius née Mourilyan of Hook Heath, Surrey. He was at Charterhouse [W] 1931 - 1935. He joined the Royal Armoured Corps and served with 107 (5 Bn King's Own Royal Regiment [Lancaster]) Regiment. He was killed on 3.12.44, aged 27, returning to Nederweert after the liberation of Blerick near Venlo, when his tank overturned into a canal. He is buried in Mook War Cemetery, Netherlands, grave III.C.1. His uncle (q.v.) was killed in action in Mesopotamia in April 1916.
He is buried at Mook War Cemetry Netherlands Grave III C 11. Awarded posthumously 1939-45 War Medal & Star.

There is a memorial to Cecil in St Andrews Church Ham Common London.

1. Arthur Cecil Steuart Julius: Pictures from his short life. Memorial card of Times Public Notices, the family were very fond of the beach and fishing, Arthur at Oxford and at "Eights Week", in training for a war he did not survive.

3. Arthur Cecil S Julius: Charterhouse School, 1935.
This medal was awarded to Arthur for a rifle shooting competition arranged by the Charterhouse Officer Training Corps, which was affiliated to the Queens Royal Regiment (West Surrey).
It records that he was a member of Weekites House at the School named after the origional housemaster Rev Charles Weekes.
Arthur was a house Prefect and played for the Harpies Football team an interhouse League team
