Daniel was admitted to the Freedom of London as a Patternmaker 27 May 1800.

Daniel at his marriage is described as a batchelor of Hampstead

Daniel was a beneficiary under his mothers Will.

In 1800 at the time of his son Daniel's baptism Daniel is recorded as a merchant, of Mark Lane. In August 1802 he was living in Conduit St

Daniel Vanderzee, late of St Dunstan's Hill, London, merchant, from September 10 to October 29 at 10 at Guildhall.
From London Gazette, The Morning Chronicle 13 Sep 1803

Whereas a Commission of Bankrupt is awarded and
iffued forth against Daniel Vanderzee, late of Saint
Dunstan's-Hill, in the City of London, Merchant, Dealer
and Chapman, and he being declared a Bankrupt is hereby
required to surrender himself to the Commissioners in the
said Commifsion named, or the major Part of them, on the
6th and 13th of August next, at Ten o'clock in the Forenoon,
and on the 10th of September following, at One
O'Clock in the Afternoon, at Guildhall, London, and make
a full Discovery and Disclosure of his Estate and effects;
when and where the Creditors are to come prepared to prove
their Debts, and at the Second Sitting to chufe Assignees,
and at the Last Sitting the said Bankrupt is required to
finish his Examination, and the Creditor; are to affent to or
diffent from the Allowance of his Certificate. All Perfons
indebted to the said Bankrupt, or that have any of his
effects, are not to pay or deliver the fame but to whom
the Commiffioners shall appoint, but give Notice to Messrs.
Caton and Beetfon No. 4, Gray's-Inn-Square, London.
