Elworthy Family
Portrait of the Elworthy family and friends posed having tea outside at Holme Station, some with tennis racquets, circa 1892.

The six individuals are identified by a handwritten note on the verso that reads: "Mr Higginbotham, A S Elworthy [&] - Governess. Sitting[;] Muriel Elworthy - W W Cartwright, Ethel Bond Elworthy. Tennis at Holme Station." The note also gives the date as 1880 - but Ethel (pictured), who was born in 1876, is certainly older than four.
