Muriel was a stunningly beautiful women who with her husband leased the Heligan Estate (of TV fame 2001) in England between the wars. They were gardeners and maintained the gardens. Muriel's neice Di visited them in 1939.

The Merivale (Canterbury) church was beautifully decorated and crowded to the doors on the 19th inst, when Mr Sydney Williamson, of Gisborne, son of the late J B Williamson, of Auckland was married to Miss Olive Muriel Elworthy, daughter of the late Mr E Elworthy, of Pareora South Canterbury. The ceremony was performed by Bishop Julius, the bridesmaids were Mrs or Bill, Ada Julius, birth are Julius, and E Hill. Mr T Williamson, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. The couple afterwards left Christchurch for England via Vancouver.

Muriel is reported in the local Cornwall papers as decorating church's and supplying flowers for weddings often as a gift.

The Lifton & Kelly Boy Scouts returned on Friday from their annual camp, which was again spent at Heligan in the beautiful grounds of Mr & Mrs S Williamson, formerly of Lifton Park.

Lifton.
The death of Mrs Olive Muriel Williamson, wife of Mr Sydney Williams, of Heligan Cornwall, and formerly of Lifton Park, took place at a London nursing home on Monday of last week, and after cremation the funeral took place at Lifton. The cortege was met at the lych gate by the surplus squire, who led the singing, with Mrs W Brimacombe at the organ. Rev G H Newman (Rector) officiated, assisted by Rev G H Arundell and Rev P Bush. The immediate mourners were Mrs T and J Williams, sons; Mrs Anstice daughter; Mrs T Williamson, daughter-in-law, Capt and Mrs J Bendyshe, nephew and niece; Mrs Bendyshe, senior, and daughter and Mrs F Walters. The Lifton Boy Scouts under Scoutmaster L C Brown attended. The bearers were Messrs A Harris, C Horrell, C Walters and H Mannell.
