1. William Henry Hadwen: Will, 6 Aug 1911, London. THIS IS THE LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT of me WILLIAM HENRY HADWEN of 63 West Hill in the County of London Gentleman
I give and devise all my estate and effects real and personal of which I may die possessed unto my son Arthur Henry Hadwen of 15 Holmbush Road East Putney in the county of London upon trust that is to say he shall dispose of the whole of the estate and apply the proceeds as follows.
After payment of my just debts and funeral expenses the money realized from the sale shall be invested in any sound and marketable security which I leave to by son and trustees judgement and for him to pay the income so received to my wife Julia Caroline Hadwen during the remainder of her life and after her death I direct that my estate shall be disposed of as follows
One half to my said son absolutely and the retaining half he is to still hold in trust for the benefit of my daughter Maud Marion Masterson wife of Archibald Dunston Masterson of 26 Ranelagh Gardens Barnes in the county of London who shall be paid the income arising during her life and after her death her share of the capital sum shall be equally
divided among her children as each child attains tha age of twenty one years
Should my wife desire any of the furniture belonging to the estate she shall retain what she requires for her own use and which will belong to the estate on a subsequent division
My personal effects I shall leave to my wife for her disposal as she may think fit
Should my trustee think proper to retain any of the securities I may hold at the time of my death he may do so without incurring any responsibility for so doing And I direct that should my son be not alive or is incapable of acting the Public Trustee shall take the matter up and administer the estate as I have fully set out And I hereby revoke all former wills and codicils
