bullet  General Notes:

Henry was described as a Secretary of Lawn Bank John St Hampstead at his marriage, then as a Company Director of the Chiswick Polish Company Limited (later Chiswick Products) in his Will dated 12 Apr 1934.
He was aged 60 at his death.

In 1913 the Chiswick Polish Company Limited was formed, jointly owned by the Mason family and Reckitt & Sons Ltd. William Berry Ltd of Homerton, London, and The Master Polish company (Richard James & Co of West Bromwich, previously acquired in 1912 by Reckitt's) were integrated into the Chiswick Polish Company and all metal polish operations transferred to Reckitt's factory in Hull and the transfer of the soap manufacturing operations to Yalding in Kent. In 1917 the very well established business of Martindale, Massey & Co of Liverpool (an ink and blacking company dating to 1825 or earlier) was acquired and production moved to Chiswick. The process of acquisitions and mergers had begun in earnest.

In 1916 there was liaison between Chiswick Polish Co and Nugget Polish Co (of Kennington Oval, London, England). A joint pooling arrangement was discussed and in 1919, the pooling agreement came into effect.
As a listed exhibitor at the 1922 British Industries Fair the manufacturers advertised: Nugget Boot Polishes and Boot Creams in various shades, Boot Polishing Outfits, White Cleaner for Buckskin and Canvas, Furniture Polish and Harness Polishes.
In 1929 there was a name change to Chiswick Products upon amalgamation with the Nugget Polish Co.
The company dissolved in 1967.

Nugget' shoe/boot polish was once a popular brand in New Zealand.
