A young married woman, named Annie Atkins, applied to the Bench, at the Resident Magistrate's Court, to-day, for a married woman's property protection order against her husband. She stated that she was married about two years ago in the Scotch Church, Wellington, and her husband, Samuel Atkins, who was a carpenter to trade, had, she be-lieved, left the colony fifteen months ago, and she had received uo maintenance from him during that period. She had one child. The Bench granted the order as applied for. Mr. Buckley appeared on behalf of the applicant.
