Garrick LF/282 KR/282 Kenya Regiment Armoured Car Coy, doing reconnaissance work in the Abyssinian Campaign of World War Two, he was killed in action in February 1941.

Garrick married Shirley Emma FRYER [15553] [MRIN: 9137], daughter of Walter FRYER [10948] and Elfrida Dora Maria (Ella) BURMESTER [10949]. (Shirley Emma FRYER [15553] was born on 10 Apr 1916 in Volkrust SA, died on 4 Feb 1986 in Bournemouth HAM and was cremated in Bournemouth Crematorium.). The cause of her death was lung cancer.
