G Schuyler writes 2014
I am a descendant of Rev. William Wharton, the brother of Mary Wharton who married John Julius 1759. Whilst there is no direct relationship with your family I have a letter dated September 24th 1869 written by a John Julius to our family a copy of which I attach for your reference.

R. S. Schuyler Esq.
Dear Sir,
I received on the 8th instance your letter and enclosures of the 17th June which I would have acknowledged sooner had you not said that I should hear from you the following mail, but as I have not done so I beg to inform you that the papers received are insufficient to authorise me to convey, should I meet with a purchaser for the premises, besides it is known here that Mrs. Schuyler (the only child of Peter Dowdy Gibbons and Caroline Gibbons left sons, the elder of whom inherits the property, so that no power but from him could authorise its legal conveyance, which power would require to be proved to have the signature and seal of a Public Notary attached to it and I believe the certificate of the Governor that the person so signing and sealing is actually a Notary. If therefore you shall have dispatched (previous to the receipt of this) any power other than such as I have described, you will see the necessity of forwarding another without waiting to hear further from me. I have received no rent since the death of Mrs. Gibbons. The Reverend Gentleman, who uses a part of the House for purposes of a School, has recently had some trifling and indispensable repairs done to it, the cost of which I am not yet aware of.
I am Sir Your Mo. Ab. Sev.
John Julius
September 24th 1869
As am now far advanced in years, I would suggest that any power sent me may be so drawn as to authorise me to depute (if need be) a person to act for me on behalf of the owner of the premises.

Clearly he is a solicitor or an agent of some description on St.Kitts, West Indies. I cannot find any mention of this gentleman in your research. I would assume by his above correspondence that he would have been born circa 1810.

I hope this may be of some interest to you and would be pleased to hear if he is in fact a member of your family.
