Surat north of Bombay - Captain Edward Stephenson - Commissioned this date - Entry found in History of the Indian Navy Vol 1 - the pay of the Commodore was 24,000 rupees.

Edward may have been born in India as his early life was there.

who died on the 28th August 1812, aged 57 yrs

who died on the 23rd December 1846 aged 88 yrs.
