It is likely that Herbert, son of Annie Eliza Fenn, is the Herbert Fenn born in Ipswich on the CWGC site. Private Northamptonshire Regiment 7th Battalion Service No 27858. Additional information Brother Of William Fenn of 145 Braodway, Cricklewood, London. Commonwealth War Dead. Panel 43 and 45 Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial. Annie died in 1916 so William as his brother would have been next of kin. The deaths of the few Fenns listed on Free BDM born in Ipswich 1850-1900 with the name of Herbert can be established. Given the rarity of the name Herbert, and the unusual choice of relative for the next of kin, I believe that he was the son of Annie Eliza Fenn.
