The 1901 Census describes Arthur and Ellen as husband and wife but no marriage details have been found, family talk is that they did not marry. They did not appear to have issue.

Ellen had a relationship with Arthur Edward ALSTON [3947] [MRIN: 2415], son of Alfred Ernest ALSTON [3778] and Edith Emma Harwood STACY [3945]. (Arthur Edward ALSTON [3947] was born on 10 Aug 1873 in Manningtree ESS and died on 23 Dec 1961 in Surrey.)
