Gordon's funeral was held at St Stephen's Anglican Church Coorparoo, Queensland on 30 May, 1984 followed by cremation and burial at Mt Thompson Memorial Gardens.

Gordon married Elizabeth Helen "Beth" JULIUS [896] [MRIN: 1696], daughter of John "Jack" JULIUS [894] and Isabel Jane "Belle" STEWART [895], on 16 Dec 1944 in St Andrew Sth Brisbane QLD. (Elizabeth Helen "Beth" JULIUS [896] was born on 3 Jun 1919 in New Farm Brisbane, baptised on 14 Jul 1919 in St John Cathedral Brisbane Qld, died on 14 Aug 2010 in Sth Brisbane Qld and was cremated on 20 Aug 2010 in Mt Thompson Memorial Gdns Brisbane.)
