My dear Uncle Edward I have just received your letter \endash the dates you require are: Evelyn's birth Feb 26th 1882. My birth Jan 31th 1884. My Father's birth April 14th ? My Father's 2nd marriage was to Alice Haynes in 1905 ?
The two queries I am asking Aunt Fanny to send you as she always has records of all the dates of all events in the family, and I have not sufficiently certain enough knowledge to fill these in myself \endash I shall be interested to have one of the copies of the Pedigree if there should be one to spare \endash When you have completed this pedigree I wish you could work out the torlesse 1 \endash it would be very interesting if the Surrey Torlesse's and the Hamburg Torlesse's could be linked up \endash Arthur Torlesse has, I believe a lot of information; but I understand from Aunt Fanny that he requires someone to "spur him on" ! I am very sorry you are being troubled with a bad throat \endash they seem very prevalent just now \endash from all accounts Uncle George seems wonderful for his age. I hope Aunt Emily keeps well \endash please give her my love I think you will be interested to know that Evelyn has lately become engaged to be married to a girl called Gwen Kennelley \endash she is arriving in England at the end of this month on a visit to her people, and I am hoping to make her acquaintance. With my love to you, Your affectionate niece, Dorothy F Smith
