Private, 1892. 942.64BIL The book quotes: This WILLIAM BLOMFIELD was also owner of the Manor of Bridgeplace in Coddenham, which was bought by his father SIMON BLOMVILLE, about the year 1616, of Edmund HACKLUIT, son of the author of the 'Voyages'. Then follows a pedigree of the Blomfield family.
William Blomfield = Anne Cutting Simon Blomfield of Monks Eleigh = Elizabeth, da. of Arthur Penning of Kettleburgh, Esq. their children Simon Blomfield of Coddenham died 1633 = Alice, da. of John Lea of Coddenham (this is the father of Frances. (Alice = 2ndly Wm. Cage, Portman of Ipswich.) William Blomfield of Stoneham = Margaret, da. and Heir of George Clench of Bealings, esq. and they had a daughter Margaret. William = 2ndly Mary, da. of Wm. Fiske of Rattlesden and had a son Wm.
A long will of Simon Blomefield of Coddenham co. Suff. gent. dated 10 May 1632 proved Cur. Ep. Nov. names inter alia his sister the Lady Temple and his cousin Mr. Wm. Alston.
Simon and Elizabeth had 11 children Anne born 1609, died 1620 Frances born 1612 Simon born 1611 died 1611 Simon born 1614 died 1615 Wm. born 1616 died 1672 Anne born 1618 John born 1620 Simon born 1620 Eliza born 1623 Mary born 1627 Anthony born 1633 There can be little doubt these children are confused with Simon and Alice Lea Blomfield
