Thomas of Boxford was a surgeon, he received his fathers books on medicine, inheriting property at Groton, Great Cornard, and Assington.
WILL of THOMAS ALSTON of BOXFORD Surgeon. Dated 25th September 1758. My execturix to have me decently buried in the Parish Church of Newton near Sudbury. My will is to sell all that I have and what remains after my debts and funeral charges are paid and satisfied I devise as followeth: To my son Thomas Alston L1.10s To the Rev. George Binyon the like sum and to his seven children the same each to be paid within a year and a day after my decease. To the Rev. William Alston L1 10s. To Anne Mascol L1 10s. and the surplus I devise to my daughter Katherine Alston who is to call in all debts dues and bonds. I appoint my daughter Katherine Alston sole executrix Signed Thos. Alston. Witnesses: Sarah Alston Sarah Strutt, Hannah Grimsy Proved Arch Sud 2nd November 1759 by the executrix.
