ALSTON & another v. ALSTON & Others. Bill, 15 May 1703, by Anne and Clare Alston, spinsters, two of the daughters of Edward Alston of Loughton, Esq., and Margaret, Martha and Rebecca Maria, their sisters, infants, by Mary Alston widow, their mother; and Temple Needham of London, Chirurgeon, administrator of their sister Elizabeth Alston decd. during the minorities and for the benefit of the said Martha and Rebecca Maria Alston, v. Sir Joseph Alston bart., Dame Elizabeth Alston, and Mary Alston, widow of Isaac Alston decd., [John] Snell, Sir Stephen Evans, William Arch and Benjamin Robinson. The suit is for payment of legacies under their grandfather's will. The abovesaid Elizabeth Alston decd. is said to have made a nuncupative will in favour of her sisters Martha and Rebecca Maria, The defendants other than Alstons are brought into the suit as occupiers or trustees of a house in Lombard Street, the rents of which were left to Edward Alston decd. by his father Sir Joseph The bill is a long one but recites only facts already noted; the answers contain no new Alston material.
