On 14^th October 1829 Isabella Thompson married William Caudle in Marylebone. The Thompson family had by that time moved to Brighton where William was a surgeon, as was his Father of the same name. They moved to Selsey and had a daughter Isabel in 1831, but just before she was born William Caudle was arrested for bigamy, for which he was subsequently found guilty and sentenced to 18 months in Horsham Jail
After serving his sentence he returned to the family home in Selsey where William was born in 1834. He was baptised on 6^th April 1834 in Selsey as William Adolphus Frederick Caudle, even though both parties knew they were not legally married. Adolphus may be a Caudle family name, but it was also the name of the lawyer that sent William Caudle to jail.

Isabella married Dr William CAUDLE [31346] [MRIN: 11111], son of William CAUDLE [33993] and Mary [33995], on 14 Oct 1829 in Marylebone London MDX. (Dr William CAUDLE [31346] was born on 6 Feb 1805, baptised on 18 Feb 1805 in St Thomas Lewes SSX, died 4th Qtr 1847 in Brighton SSX and was buried on 11 Dec 1847 in St Nicholas Brighton.)

Isabella next married Edward Auguste WHITE [33988] [MRIN: 12193] on 18 Apr 1850 in St Nicholas Brighton SSX. (Edward Auguste WHITE [33988] was born circa 1830 in France (British Subject) and died on 13 Feb 1919 in Hornchurch ESS.)
