A Marriage Licence dated 14 Dec 1590 was granted for Edward Alston of Newton to marry Christiana Bull vidua (widow) of Waldingfield Parva, directed to the Rector of Newton, Testimony of Thos Alston bondsman

Christian's marriage settlement is referred to in Edwards Will. Some confusion has existed regarding the second and third wives in the other pedigrees, the marriage being reduced to two in some.
The third marriage to Christiana is supported by the above licence, it must have followed speedily on the death of Edward's second wife, the dates of the two burials in Newton for an Elizabeth Alston 30 Sep 1590 and 26 Jun 1591 further confuse.

By neither his second or third wives had Edward Alston any known issue.

Christiana married Edward ALSTON Lord of Sayham [2795] [MRIN: 920], son of William ALSTON of Newton SFK [2819] and Ann (Elizabeth) SYMONDS [2820], about Dec 1590. (Edward ALSTON Lord of Sayham [2795] was born in 1507 in Newton SFK and was buried on 14 Nov 1592 in Newton Nr Sudbury SFK.)
