Charles Grave Hudson, Esq., Born at Tunis 3 April 1730, was a very opulent merchant, and a director of the South Sea company. He married Catherine Susanna, eldest daughter and co-heiress of Henry Palmer of Wanlip Leicestershire, by whom he had eight children, 1 Catherine Charlotte; 2 Charles Stevenson, who died young; 3 Charles Thomas; 4 George Joseph; 5 Harriet; 6 John Samuel; 7 Louisa; 8 Mary Anne.
Sir Charles served the office of high Sheriff for the county of Leicester in 1784
