John was of Smedmore, Kimmeridge, Dorset. He was a typical Army officer, only really interested in hunting, while Mildred was a Suffragette, who was sent to prison for a week for throwing stones at Government offices! However, they were very happily married.
John married Mildred Ella GUEST [26396] [MRIN: 9485], daughter of Arthur Edward GUEST [26392] and Adeline Mary CHAPMAN [26391], on 24 Apr 1888 in St George Hanover Sq. (Mildred Ella GUEST [26396] was born on 8 Jul 1868 in Roehampton London and died on 11 Mar 1942 in Poole DOR.)
