DEATH.
BUNNY. On October 30th, at his residence, Hogg Crescent, Arthur Rigby Bunny aged 73.

THE LATE MR BUNNY.
The tribute paid by Bench and Bar in the Magistrate's Court at Masterton yesterday to the late Mr Arthur Rigby Bunny, the doyen of the profession in the Wairarapa, was such that none but a man of high character, strict integrity and honourable service to the community could have merited. For over forty years the late Mr Bunny has practised at the Bar in the Wairarapa, and his sound judgment, honest advice and wise counsel have been a source of inspiration to his confreres and the community as a whole. Apart from the respect in which he was held as a professional man, he was a quiet, unassuming, methodical citizen whose word was his bond, and whose character was above reproach. It is in this connection that we desire to add a tribute on behalf of the public to that so timely and ably expressed by his colleagues in the profession of the law. As Mr S. L. P. Free, S.M., so aptly remarked from the Bench, "The community has been the better by his life, and will be the poorer by his death."
