Dandeson Coates BELL [22771]

  General Notes:

Danderson qualified M.R.C.S. in 1815 and was appointed an Assistant Surgeon in the Indian Service 15 May 1816, he was at that time in Baghdad. Appointed a Surgeon on 22 July 1823 and Supervising Surgeon on 15 January 1840.
Serving in the Scinde War 1843, he was present at the battles of Dabba and Hyderabad. Appointed Inspector-General of Hospitals on 1 May 1843, he retired on 1 January 1844 and died at 7 Darnway Street, Edinburgh on 25 August 1854.

The Bell family home was at 7 Darnaway Street Edinburgh. In his Will, Dandison advises his wife to sell it if it is too small for the family, and suggests that she should buy something better.
