Peter his wife and elder child went out in a small boat on Lake Deschenes, an enlargement of the Ottawa River at Aylmer, Quebec on the evening of July 2, about 7:30 a squall came up and suddenly their boat was upset and all were drowned.

Peter married Margaret Hope BELL [33274] [MRIN: 11886], daughter of Andrew Wilson BELL [33273] and Jane Anderson GIBB [33281], on 7 May 1884 in Lanark Ontario CAN. (Margaret Hope BELL [33274] was born on 9 Jan 1863 in Lanark Ontario CAN and died on 2 Jul 1896 in Drowned in Lake Deschenes CAN.)
