Charles Waterston was with the Union Bank, in Wanganui at the time of his marriage, the family were from Whakatane.

Charles survived WW1 and came back to manage the Union Bank in Ashburton

Charles married Mary TORLESSE [1785] [MRIN: 583], daughter of Rev Henry TORLESSE [1678] and Eliza (Lizzie) Henrietta REVELL [1679], on 26 Apr 1905 in Canterbury NZ. (Mary TORLESSE [1785] was born on 13 Aug 1868 in Governors Bay Canterbury NZ and died on 26 Mar 1943 in Auckland, N.Z..)
