A wedding of interest took place at St. Mary's Church, Merivale, Christchurch, when Miss Gladys Buckham, daughter of Mrs. Buckham, of Papanui road, was married to Mr. Andrew Todd, Kekeranga, Marlborough, son of Mr. A. Todd, of Waipara, North Canterbury. The bride is the grand-daughter of Mrs. Torlesse, a member of one of the pioneer families in Canterbury. The ceremony was performed by the Ven. Archdeacon Hoggitt. The bride wore ivory satin, veiled in georgette, and a handsome lace veil and a circlet of orange blossoms. Miss Millicent Jameson was the bridesmaid, and was in blue satin and cream georgette, with a black velvet hat in ostrich feathers. Her bouquet was of bronze chrysanthemums, tied with blue streamers,
A little niece of the bride, Natalia Moffatt, also in attendance, was in white chiffon and a pink sash, and a quaint poke bonnet of taffetas. Mr. Allan Johnston was the best man.
