bullet  General Notes:

Amateur Theatricals at Chatsworth.
In Aid of the Chesterfield ASC.
A further example of the interest which the Duke of Devonshire takes in military matters was forthcoming on Wednesday when His Grace allowed the private theatre at Chatsworth to be used for an amateur theatrical performance . . . . . There was a distinct change in the comedy "Time is Money" this was irresistibly funny and being also well played . . . . . The humour, which was of a genuine kind, was exceedingly well brought out by Col Percy Holland, who by the way comes from Camberley, Surrey, and was aide-de-camp, to Lord Roberts in India, where he served for 23 years. Col Holland acted the part to the life, and his antics caused roars of laughter. Mrs Holland ably assisted her husband, she portraying the part of the widow, Mrs Murray in becoming manner. . . . .
