  General Notes:

Tom, an Irishman, pushed a wheelbarrow laden with a gear across the Great Dividing Range with a friend. His goal was the goldfields in central western New South Wales, there he failed to strike it rich and so went to the southern New South Wales coast where he took up farming in the Kangaroo Valley.
Tom prospered and had 11 children
