Will of William Hearn of Harwich
29 Dec 1806
This is the last Will and Testament of me William Hearn of Harwich in the County of Essex, Gentleman, being at the time of making thereof of sound mind, memory and understanding I give and devise All my real estate whatsoever and wheresoever unto my Son William Hearn of Ely Place, London, Merchant to hold to him my said Son his Heirs and Assigns for ever. I give and bequeath to my said son William Hearn all my Personal estate whatsoever wheresoever and of whatever nature, Kind, Quality Description soever the same may be which I shall be pofsefsed of interested in or any wise intitled to at the time of my decease to have hold receive and take the same to him my said Son William Hearn his Executor Administrators and Assigns subject nevertheless to the payment of my just Debts Funeral and Probate Charges and the Legacies hereafter given, that is to say I give and bequeath to my granddaughter Sarah Bailey the sum of ten Pounds for mourning Also to Mary Langham my maid servant in case she be living with me at the time of my death Double Mourning, viz, one black Cambric muslin Gown and Petticoat and one black Cotton Gown and Petticoat, two black Muslin handkerchiefs, two while muslin caps, two Pair of black cotton stockings and a black Muslin bonnet with Gloves and Ribbon also Three Pounds being half a year's wages in addition to the wages for the Quarter which may be running at the time of my death but nothing in case she shall not then be in my service. I constitute and appoint my said son William Hearn sole Executor of this my Will and revoke all former Wills by me at any time made In witness whereof I the said William Hearn the testator have to this my last Will and Testament set my Hand and Seal this twenty ninth Day of December in the Year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and six.
