THIS IS THE LAST WILL of me CAROLINE HAND Widow of The Reverend Henry George Hand of Highfield Godalming in the County of Surrey Clerk in Holy Orders.
1. I appoint my friend Henry Owen of Corpus Christi College Oxford Bachelor of Civil Law EXECUTOR and Trustee of my Will.
2. I give the following legacies to be paid free of duty
To my sister Eleanor fifty pounds
To my sister Blanche fifty pounds
To my sister Phyllis one hundred pounds
To our Godson George Herbert Eastwood fifty pounds
To my faithful servant Jane Taylor if she shall be in my service at the time of my death twenty five pounds and to my executor one hundred pounds.
3. I give the sum of three hundred and sixty pounds two shillings and five pence Bank stock seven hundred and twenty five pounds four per cent Preference Stock of the Great Eastern Railway Company and thirty five ten pounds Preference shares in the West Lancashire Railway Company formerly the property of my husband or the Stocks and securities representing the same at my death as to three fifths thereof to Henry Hand Captain R N nephew of my husband and as to two fifths thereof to George Hand Captain R N nephew of my husband the children of either of them who shall die before me to take their deceased
fathers share in equal portions.
4. All the rest of the real and personal estate to which I shall be entitled or over which I shall have any disposing power at the time of my death I give to my sister Barbara wife of Major General James John Combe for her absolute use and benefit
IN WITNESS whereof I the said Caroline Hand have to this my last Will set my hand this firth day of February one thousand eight hundred and eighty eight

THIS IS A FIRST C0DICIL to the above written Will of me CAROLINE ANN HAND in my said Will called Caroline Hand I give the eight hundred pounds Victoria bonds received by me from the state of my sister Blanche (who has died since the date of my Will) or the securities for the time being representing the same to my sister Eleanor Elizabeth More Molyneux for her life And in all other respects I confirm my Will
IN WITNESS whereof I the said Caroline Ann Hand have hereunto set my hand this sixth day of March one thousand eight hundred and eighty nine
