Blair was a New Zealand teacher who was a left wing activist in the Anti-Nazi movement in London. He was at an Anti-Nazi demonstration in London on the 23 April 1979 when he was attacked by two London Policemen who beat him to death in the street.
Blair is regarded by Socialist Organisations as a "martyr for the cause".
