bullet  General Notes:

In relation to the Research Notes that follow, research by Mike Fenn in late 2013 and 2014 is throwing considerable doubt on Abraham and Alice being ancestors in this line.

Research continues but viewers should not use this data at present with any surety.
E L Fenn March 2014

Mike Fenn writes 2017
The link with Abraham Fynne and Alice and the Baylham Fenns is slightly tenuous. The main
supporting 'evidence' is provided by the IGI of the Mormon Church of Latter-Day Saints who record
that an Abraham Fynne dwelling in Ipswich=Alice Hanfield of Bentley in Woolverstone in 1713. We
also know that an Abraham and Alice Fynne died in Baylham in 1745 and 1747 respectively.
Interestingly only one Hanfield can be found in the burial records for Suffolk whereas there are
many Glanfields. Inspection of the Bishop's Parish Transcripts for Bentley support these findings
and records an Alice Glanfield as born there in 1692. We also know that Abraham & Alice had a
son called Abraham who was baptised in Baylham in 1717.
