More [?] dated 19 June1838 Bet. Geo Vanderzee of Althorne in the Co. of Essex Esq. of the 1st part Isabella Sawine of Brighton in the Co. of Sussex Wd of the 2d part and Geo Wood and John Grabham of the 3d part being Articles of Settlement on the intended marriage of sd G Vanderzee and I Swaine.
Whereby I Geo Vanderzee cov'ted to surrender the house and land called Christmas Croft at Southm'r to s'd Geo Wood and John Grabham their heirs &c.
Upon Trust for said Isa Swaine for her life with Rent to said Geo Vanderzee for his life and Rem'r for the children of the marriage if any, and if none then in Trust for such persons as Isa Swaine shd by Will direct and in default in Trust for the survivor of them Geo Vanderzee and Isabella Swaine his or her heirs or assigns.

31st December 1847
I Isabella Vanderzee by this my last Will and Testament do give and bequeath all monies in the funds or elsewhere as well as all property both freehold and copyhold of which I may die possessed to my dear husband George Vanderxee absolutely for his sole use and benefit to be by him disposed of according to his own wish and pleasure and I do hereby appoint the said George Vanderzee the sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament I do hereby revoke and cancel all former Wills and Codicils

Dated this thirty first day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty seven
Signed sealed and delivered by the said Testator Isabella Vanderzee in the presence of
Thomas Harrold Fenn Surgeon Nayland Suffolk present at the same time and Mary Ann Winny Nayland Servant of Isabella Vanderzee in the presence of each other.

In the Prerogative Court of Canterbury.
In the Goods of Isabella Vanderzee Wife of Geo Vanderzee deceased.
Appeared Personally Mary Ann Winny of Nayland in the County of Suffolk Servant out of place Spinster and made oath that she is one of the subscribed witnesses of the due execution of the last Will and Testament of Isabella Vanderzee wife of George Vanderzee late of South Shoebury in the County of Essex deceased which said Will bears date on the thirty first day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty seven and is now hereto annexed and she further made oath that on the said thirty first day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty seven the said deceased duly executed her said Will by signing her name at the foot or end thereof in the presence of this deponent and Thomas Harrold Fenn the other subscribed witness to the said Will both of whom were present at the same time and that the said Thomas Harrold Fenn and she this deponent thereupon attested and subscribed the said Will in the presence of the said Testatrix and of each other Mary Ann Winny On the 24th day of January 1849 the said Mary Ann Winny Spinster was duly sworn to the truth of the aforegoing Affidavit Before me W E Willis Surr __ N B Engleheart Not Pub

Proved the 3rd Feb 1849 Admon (with Will annexed) of all and singular the Goods Chattels and credits of Isabella Vanderzee (wife of George Vanderzee) heretofore Swaine Widow formerly of Brighton in the County of Sussex but late of South Shoebury in the County of Essex deceased was granted to the said George Vanderzee the lawful husband of the said deceased and as such the sole person entitled to her personal Estate and Effects over which she had no disposing power and concerning which she is dead intestate and the sole Executor named in the said Will having first sworn duly to administer
